Your Stress Relief Minute

The year 2006, is fast coming to a close which gives us an opportunity to reflect on how well we have managed our lives during the past eleven months.

The daily responsibilities and challenges of family life, social obligations, and business commitments tend to creep, or even gallop upon us, and for many the daily commitments and accompanied stress has become a way of life.

Think of how you will handle these daily challenges in the coming year, as you set the course to balance your life both personally and professionally.

In these following months let us journey together to a place of peace and contentment, flushing out negativity and stress while being infused with strategies that will enhance our overall wellbeing.

Start now to get a stress relief minute!

  • Stop and note how you are breathing. Are you breathing in short gasps, or are you breathing in long, relaxed breaths that come from your abdomen lasting at least five seconds?
  • If you have been working at your computer for more than twenty minutes, give your eyes a break. Gaze for a few minutes at a picture, or some other pleasing object, experts say a red object is most restful.
  • Stand up and move around...it is important to do some type of bodily exercise at least every thirty minutes.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the Son of Peace to you.

Celtic benediction
