Your Stress Relief Minute
Happy Valentines Day!
This is to be the day when our minds and hearts turn to thoughts of love, of giving flowers, candies and cards for our loved ones. But with the commercialization of all special days, it is a challenge to keep the importance of these special days in proper perspective. Loving someone is not always easy many times it requires us to be unselfish, caring, and considerate, but it has great reward.
Let’s take a look at what love really is.
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always "me first,"
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the lowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

I realize that there are those who may be alone this Valentines Day. There may be some who are also alone who you can reach out and touch with a kind word or gesture. It may be your next door neighbor, the teller at the bank, the clerk at the store, or even your fellow employees. Reaching out to others will help relieve some of your own loneliness.
