If you are experiencing workplace stress, which is often accompanied by burnout, this session will help motivate and guide you toward a more peaceful and productive life.
SURVIVING AND THRIVING ON STRESS
Not all stress is bad; normal stress is productive and controllable, while negative stress is unproductive and harmful. In this informative and interactive session, we will discuss the effects of both types of stress, and how important thoughts and words are in either creating or relieving stress. We will also look at ways to “bullet proof” ourselves and not become “sitting ducks” while we are in the heat of stress. Learn to use the “Body Stress Inventory” together with other cutting-edge strategies to help you “live in the moment” and master your stress.
“Nurse Audrey” promises no miracles, but if you have an open mind and a will to act, you can find ways that will reduce harmful stress and bring positive changes to your life.
In this session participants will learn:
* how thought processes can turn good stress into damaging stress affecting them mentally, emotionally and physically emotions and behavior
* how job related stress can create workplace safety hazards, resulting both in the loss of productivity and work-time due to illness or injury
* how to create inner calm even when everyone around is “losing their head”
* how to “live in the moment” and in “day-tight compartments,” creating peace and harmony within
* that by incorporating more humor and laughter into their everyday life, they can reduce stress and become more flexible, self-directed, and emotionally healthy

“Audrey presented a two hour session to the town staff, support and outside workers, of Smoky Lake. The session covered stress issues and how humor can be a valuable tool to diffuse negative stress and conflict issues. The interactive session was well received and included information we could use at work and at home, even in the heat of the moment. I am pleased to recommend Audrey for sessions such as this.”
